Create your next campaign through a wholistic approach that is right for YOUR organization
You have goals. And then everything else gets in the way of accomplishing these goals. There are myriad reasons this happens and myriad ways for you to still reach your goals. I will help you create your next campaign to achieve your objectives through a three-part approach: help increase your awareness, understanding, and insights into the root causes of your current position; help you formulate the most creative and productive plan toward your goals; and, very importantly, help you develop the most effective implementation plan toward actual sustainability.
My family and I have built three houses over my lifetime. This is an image (right) of the first house we built together in 1973, in the woods of western Maine. I found that when you work on something together, go through the ups and downs and the hard work together, there tends to be an additional bond that develops which leads to a deeper commitment to making sure things turn out well. Building Houses also teaches you to see what is not yet there, make sure you create the right plans, and know that your hard work will pay off.
What we do outside of our professional work helps to define us and complete our story.
There are four hobbies of mine that help me in all facets my life.
Youth Sports Coach: I have coached over 40 girls sports teams as my two daughters grew up. I learned something from every person on each of the teams. I learned that each person is motivated differently, communicates differently, sees the world differently, and has a different definition of achievement. I learned that everyone will express themselves differently, even when not saying anything at all. And, I learned how to then make myself better every day.
Sports Psychology: As I looked to make myself a better coach, I dug into understanding what motivates us, how we deal with pressure, how we work through our underlying anxieties, and how to create individual strategies to help each person reach their optimal performance level.
Photography: I love the creativity of photography—finding your way in a wide open world to capture images as you see them. It helps you understand there are many ways to see a setting or an object.
Cooking: I find there are few things as creative as cooking. I am always looking to make a recipe better each time I make something, which leads to thinking well outside any cookbook.
I am glad you are exploring ways to grow yourself and your organization. These two things go hand-in-hand. There are tremendous benefits in looking at growth wholistically—I use this spelling purposely, as the intention is to make sure all parts of the whole are looked at as you search for sustainable advances.
